My Christmas Present Haul 2015

I have seen so many Christmas Present Haul Posts that I thought I would do my first one, and as decadently put as my fellow Blogger Christie, it is a shame that I need to clarify that this is not me in any way bragging. If you feel that it is then please don't wind yourself up by reading on; I am fully aware that there are many people in the world with nothing, however I do not feel that should stop someone from sharing what they received from their loved ones.

This year has got to be my best bar far, even though I have had some bad times they have lead me to a great place in myself and to someone very special to me, even though we have only been dating a few weeks it just feels so right. I have been very spoilt this year and am ever so grateful for all my gifts, and am so thankful that everyone know me so well. I won't write about everything that I received, however you can see for yourself what the missing items are.

Ugg Simmons Waterproof Boots

With the winter months upon us I thought it was about time I invested in some new waterproof walking boots which were still stylish and warm!

Glossybox December 2015

This Month was the Rose Gold Edit, in collaboration with Really Ree (a UK Blogger), and I have to say I was not disappointed, we even got a free 6th item.  Oh and the total value of this months box is £84.50 and it was all full size.

The box was a gorgeous limited edition Rose Gold, with a christmassy feel to it.

Woodwick Candle Fireside

I have always loved candles, however have never really treated myself to a decent one.

So when my housemate brought home a medium Woodwick candle in Fireside, I instantly fell in love and had to get one for myself.

Make Place Tote Bag Class

It is my Nan's Birthday this Month so I thought it would be nice for us to go to a Tote Bag Making class together.

DIY Watercolour Cup

The Around this time of year, near Christmas I get quite crafty and try to find ideas on what I can make people for Christmas presents. I stumbled upon the water colour cup when I was searching Sharpie cups. These struck me as they are very different and quite pretty. Perfect present for women and girls.

Things you need to know before starting, you will need a plastic bowl deep enough for your cup to fully immerse in, you need to note that this bowl may become covered in nail polish so be sure you don't mind about the damage.

You also need nail polish, now this took me a few try's to figure out which nail polishes I could use. You do not want to use quick drying for this task as time is precious.

You also need a cup, this can be plain or coloured whatever you choose.

So once I had found my perfect nail polishes I filled the bowl with cold water.

DIY Personalised Cup

These are great for fairly cheap Christmas/ Birthday gifts with a personal touch.

These DIY personalised cups are fairly easy to do, there are lots of tutorials/ reviews of Sharpie cups however I used the Marabu Porcelaine Pens, to get a definite finish. I just don't see how the Sharpie pens last very long once the cups etc. have been washed a few times.. I got mine from Ebay for a few quid, however they are available at craft stores.

DIY Christmas Ornaments/ Gift Tags

With Christmas almost at our doorstep, I had thought I would do a blog on how to make these gorgeous Gift Tags/ Ornaments.

Liver & Sausage Birthday Cake

I am a bit of a nutter and like to celebrate Harley’s Birthday just like a normal human being. I always buy her new toys and make her a Birthday Cake.

This year I made Liver & Sausage Cake topped with Wainwrights wet food.

Gluten Free White Chocolate Cheesecake

Just because it's Gluten Free doesn't mean it has to taste Gluten Free.

I will apologise now, because I do not have exact amounts and tend to go by eye and taste, so will do my very best.

What do you need:
  1. 300g Soft Cheese
  2. 400g White Chocolate (check it's safe, I use Tesco's own brand or Milkybar)
  3. 100-200g Gluten Free Milk Chocolate Digestive Biscuits
  4. Unsalted butter
  5. Food bag, i.e. ziplock or similar.

Being a Coeliac in a World of Fad Diets

I will apologise now for the length of this post, however if you have anyone in your life with Coeliac Disease please please read this as it will defiantly open your eyes, I also hope my friends and family will take the time to read this and understand me a little more.

I have been a Coeliac for around 5 years now, I was diagnosed when I was 21. After years of chronic pain and fighting with the Doctors, with them saying 'you have IBS' which from what I have gathered is a generic response they give to many people with stomach issues, I finally got through to them and was referred to the hospital for tests.

Now like many people I did not know what Coeliac Disease was, and even remember walking past the free from aisle thinking what the hell is that for. So when I was officially referred to the gastro clinic to have the Coeliac test I decided to actually look at what Coeliac disease was.
I was horrified when I finally realised it was going to be an extreme life change.

My 26th Birthday

Had an awesome day at the coast with my Family, shame my Step-Dad couldn't be there.

Harley seemed to enjoy herself, and brought lots of joy to many people with her reindeer.

November Lookback

Hey is anyone actually reading this? If so I thought I would try something a little different after reading This Lady Writes blog and found her November Lookback, which I thought was a lovely idea.
Now here is the challenge of remembering all the important things of November?!?!?!? Aghhhhh!

Being Extras for The Soldiers of Embers Film

Me and Christie became extras for the day on 6th December 2015, for Bulldog Films Trailer of Soldiers of Embers.

It was filmed in a club called Vudo in Norwich previously known as Bar X, where we had to pretend to be night clubbers having a jolly old night out on the town.

We had a pretty random day as you can see from the Vlog below (my first ever I might add). It was surprising to see how many takes it took for a 10 second clip!

Hair by Karen at Beau Norwich

I have finally decided to get my hair coloured professionally by Karen, as I had a particular thing in mind and didn’t want to screw it up. I have been going to Karen for over 6 years now! Scary I know and this is the first time she has ever coloured my hair, purely because I have done it myself.

Nars Haul

After receiving the Nars Glossybox and being extremely pleased with the product, I decided to treat myself to a new set of lippies.

Within my previous review I couldn't seem to quite get on with the Rikugien Satin Lip Pencil, I partially think this was due to me feeling slightly under the weather. I found that it wasn't very moisturising and didn't stay on too well, however my friend Christie seemed to absolutely love it.

I really love the idea of the lip pencils as they are an all in one beauty product. I have found that with lipsticks you generally need to buy the matching lip pencil in order to stop the lipstick from bleeding and to also achieve a better finish.

H&M Haul November 2015

I fancied treating myself and getting some new clothes especially with the colder months now here. Jumpers are a must have and a good pair of skinny jeans are always a good shout for any outfit.

First of all is this lovely salmon coloured butterfly top at £7.99, it's a tiny bit short and just covers the top of your jeans. It's both loose fitting and tighter in the top. The material is very soft, although this top is slightly thin it is warm because of the long sleeves. It's a perfect autumn top when paired with some skinny jeans.

Exclusive Nars Glossybox

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an Exclusive Nars Glossybox, which sold out within 29 minutes!!!

November 2015 Glossybox

A bit about Glossybox, the rolling monthly subscription is £10 P&P, which I don't think is too bad when the guaranteed value of products is always over £30.00. There are quarterly and yearly subscriptions options if you're in a position to pay up front, which does save you a few quid compared to the monthly rolling subscription. Each month you get a beautifully wrapped box with several goodies for you to try and use, which also gives you an opportunity to discover new brands and products you wouldn't usually come by.

This Glossybox is my first ever!!! I was extremely excited to see what was inside, especially after I had seen the sneak peek on their website.

TangleTeezer Brush

I am an avid fan of Tangle Teezer hairbrushes.

They come in a variety of colours and a couple of sizes.

The regular size is just about the right size for my hands and I find I can grip it well. The smaller compact ones can be a tad too small however they are great for in your handbag and on the go.

I have got both the regular and compact, I did use to have a sparkly purple regular brush however I forgot to put it away one day and came home to it in bits on the floor with my dog looking pretty proud of herself ... She had a fun day with a very expensive chew toy!

Invisi bobble Review

I have been meaning to do this review for a long time. I have had a pack of brown invisi bobbles for about a year or more now and always have one on my wrist without fail. These are amazing!

Getting my Red Hair, like a true Romanov Fan.

I had been missing my red hair for a while and just hadn't had the time or the effort to do anything about it, not to mention the fact that i was worried about work. I work in a male dominated industry and can find it had being a girl as it is let alone if I have red hair!
So anyway I finally took the plunge and went red again!!! I have had to do it in two stages as the first time the colour came out abit too pink for work life (even though it did look pretty cool). This is what I started with ombre hair, brown with blonde on the ends.

MAC Prep & Prime Lip Primer

I have been wearing lippies for about 2 years now and have never strayed from MAC, the feel and smell of them alone are enough to make me want more.

So naturally I wanted to use the matching lip primer, which retails for £13.50, a reasonable price in my eyes.

This product is a colour free base worn under or over lipstick, it adds light moisture, smooths and refines the lips. It helps to keep lipstick on for longer and helps to prevent those pesky lipstick veins.

It makes for easy application as lipstick glides onto your lips.

I would say that one stick will last around 2-3 months depending on use, I use it everyday at least twice a day.

My overall verdict is that this is a must in your make-up bag!

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Review

I had been struggling for a while to find a new product that would sit on my now very oily skin, having previously used BareMinerals.
I discovered this product one a night out with the girls, whilst we were getting ready I noticed that one of my friends, Jordan, had amazing flawless skin so I had to know what she was wearing. She explained that she had discovered it in Australia and that it can only be purchased from the web within the UK! So I was instantly put off I mean who wants to buy makeup that they may not match up with!
I soon changed my mind after doing a little bit of research and admiring my friends skin all night, which by the way stayed flawless!
So I purchased my first pot back in May this year, and have used it religiously ever day since.
