Body Shop Haul

After trying the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil in Aprils Glossybox, I had to have it in my arsenal and with Glossybox giving us the chance to receive a deluxe sample of the night cream too I had to pop down to The Body Shop, unfortunately they had run out but still gave me a sample anyway.

I defiantly picked a good day for it, as they had an event on where if you joined their club then you would receive 30% off and when you spent £25 or more you would also receive free gifts worth £33. Seeing as I was going to buy the facial oil anyway, I thought what the heck, I will add a little extra on, to bump the costs up to £25 to get the free gifts.

The free gifts were Minerals and Ginger  Warming Massage Clay Mask, Wild Argan Oil Bubble Bath and finally the Shea Butter body butter for dry skin, I do really like The Body Shop and they usually always have vouchers floating around, the best ones are £25 off when you spend £50!

The Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, R.R,P £28.00, is a glorious product that seriously smells like you are undergoing a spa treatment, it’s just divine. I have noticed that my skin is more moisturised and soft making it easier to apply make-up in the mornings. On top of that I have noticed that I don’t look so tired, it seems to have evened out my skin tone which is always a plus. I haven’t seemed to breakout due to the use of this either, I think it’s really nice that the oil is really thin and soaks into the skin almost immediately without leaving a tacky finish. I would defiantly recommend that you head over to the Body Shop to see their video guide on how to use and massage the oil into your skin.

The Oils of Lift Sleeping Cream R.R.P £28.00, is a very watery/ light weight moisturiser which means that a little goes a long way and soaks straight into your skin. You should use this after applying the oil, and obviously at night before bed. The smell is not as nice as the oil, however you can still smell the slight spa scent. I have noticed that my skin is softer and not at all dry since using this cream and is a perfect combo with the oil.

The Almond Nail and Cuticle Oil, R.R.P. £9.00 is just amazing, I have used it every night for a week now and cannot recommend it enough, my nails feel much stronger. I can see a difference in look of my nails and cuticles in that they look younger and not so dried out, if that is at all possible considering I am only 26. I should really put this in my handbag and use it throughout the day to get maximum effects from it. The formula is quite thick when first applied but soaks right up within a few seconds, so be quick when you want to give your cuticles a little massage.

Body Buff, R.R.P £2.00, these are fairly standard however you do certainly feel the difference between a cheaper one from Poundland or Savers and if I have a choice I do always get a Body Shop one. They last much longer too without falling apart within a few weeks.

The Mineral and Ginger Warming Massage Clay, R.R.P £11.00, for a warming mask this doesn’t seem to stay warm for long, you get the initial hit of heat when you first apply it but then it cools back to normal temperature. In regards to the effects of the mask, it does the job and makes your skin feel refreshed and deeply cleansed. This should only really be used once a week, I think that’s because it can be quite drying. I don’t think I would purchase this particular mask again, however I am glad that I have a full size sample.

Wild Argan Oil Bubble Bath, R.R.P £8.00,  having finally had a chance to try this out, I thought I had better write down my thoughts. Well it is a bubble bath and certainly produced bubbles, right enough jokes. The smell is absolutely amazing and really soothing and does make the bath a very relaxing feeling. The scent stayed on my skin after I was all dried off too so would defiantly recommend this.

Shea Body Butter for Dry Skin, R.R.P £14.00, I am not a massive fan of the scent, however having tried Body Shop Body Butters before I know how deeply nourishing they can be. This particular one is specified for Dry skin and seeing as I have been slack on moisturising my skin has become quite dry, so this was a welcomed surprise. My skin feel instantly softer and as weird as it sounds you can feel the moisture soaking in, you know when you get dry skin it’s kind of tight? Well I could feel all that relaxing. I do love the texture of the body butters too, they are quite thick however it melts into the skin super easy.
