Trying to See The Benefits of Online Dating*

Sometimes it is hard to see the forest for the trees, but we all must try to persist, after all what we may think is unbearable isn't going to be as bad as what someone else thinks. It can also be said that what may be right for one person, may not be right for another.

After recently going on a couple of dates with one guy, following my speed dating experience, which was clearly going no where. Not because he was a horrible guy or anything in that respect, purely on the fact that we just didn't click. He didn't make me laugh at all throughout the whole time we spent together and to be quite frank, you need that kind of attraction to make the physical attraction work.

This lead me to give online dating another shot. I will admit I have always been very negative and skeptical of online dating sites, especially dating apps. That's not to say that certain sites like, Norfolk Dating SiteLeeds Dating SitesNaughty DatingNorthampton Dating Sites or Single Women in Dyfed and so on aren't going to be the same.

I have tried talking to a few guys in the last few weeks and have yet again found that even though I have clearly stated on my profile that I am not after a fling, I am suckered into thinking that I have found a kind of nice guy. Only to find out that they are just the same as the majority of single guys out there, after a certain amount of time talking, trying to bait you into talking sexually and wanting to exchange explicit pictures.

I don't know if I am talking for the majority or minority of women out there, but we do not want a dick pic! For one, we haven't even met yet and for another really? Just NO! I am not a teenager anymore exploring the internet and the ways to use my phones capabilities, if you're after that scroll on and find the girl that is after a quick hook up.

That said I am still trying to see the good side of online dating. I guess I am one of the unlucky ones that has had a lot of bad experiences with it, however, I do know a few people that have found love through it too.

You can chat to someone before you meet and gauge whether they are able to hold half a decent conversation, or even half the claims they make about what they are looking for/ want are genuine. I have been able to do that from past experience, just from the path the conversation takes.

I guess another positive is that you can get out of your comfort zone a little and speak to someone that you wouldn't necessarily have the confidence to do so in person, because let's face it, what's the worst that can happen. They don't reply.. wopty do!

I am still yet to meet someone from online an online dating site, so it is hard for me to be completely unbiased in my views. Once I do meet someone and depending on the story I may just tell you about it. Have you had similar experiences?
